Traces of BTSO at Heimtextil Fair

The members of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) visited the Heimtextil Frankfurt 2015 Fair in January 2015 which is the biggest home textile fair in the world.  The business delegation under the leadership of Mr. İsmail Kuş, Deputy President of the Board of Directors of BTSO, Mr. Abdülkadir Karlık, Deputy Mayor of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Mr. Hasan Çepni, Member of the Assembly of BTSO and Head of Delegation, had the chance to see the latest trends in the sector. 157 Turkish companies out of which 57 are from Bursa exhibited at the fair.

The delegation of the BTSO met with Mr. Nihat Zeybekçi, Minister of Economy, and Mr. Mehmet Büyükekşi, Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly, and together opened the stand prepared by Uludağ Textile Exporters' Association (UTIB).

Mr. Kuş stated that the members of the BTSO visit the most prestigious fairs worldwide within the Global Agency Project of the BTSO and that the companies of Bursa have been visiting the Heimtextil Fair since 1971 as exhibitors and visitors. Mr. Kuş added that Turkey manufactures middle and upper segment products and that the companies in Bursa meet with the world famous brands at the Heimtextil Fair.

Mr. Çepni said that the presence of the companies of Bursa at the Heimtextil Fair is important and thanked the BTSO for the organization.

Heimtextil Frankfurt Home Textile Fair has been organized annually since 1971 at which bathroom textile products, bed covers, bedroom systems, blankets, curtains, decorative and leather items, carpets, wall papers, table cloths, upholstery and cushions etc. are exhibited.
