BTSO Co-Operates With TÜYAP For New Trade Fairs In Bursa

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) and TÜYAP Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. co-operate to enable Bursa to become the fair center of Turkey. Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of BTSO, said that the export of Bursa will enhance with new fairs such as Home & Style Fair which will be held during the “Bursa Design and Innovation Meetings” in May.

During the meeting held in the presence of Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of BTSO, Mr. Bülent İnal, Chairman of Board of Directors of TÜYAP, Mr. Emin Akça, Member of the Board of Directors of BTSO, and Mr. İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of TÜYAP Bursa Fairs Organization Inc., Mr. Burkay declared that the protocol between the BTSO and TÜYAP shows the strategy and the road map of the fairs to be held in Bursa.

Mr. Burkay added that the council established as per the protocol will shape the fair timetable and will organize new trade fairs in Bursa and that the fairs are the most important platforms for the products to be exhibited in the market which will contribute to the enhancement of the exports and the development of the industry significantly.

Mr. Burkay said that the trade fairs will not only enhance the trade volume of the city, but also the number of the foreign buyer delegations which will contribute to the development of the tourism and service sector in Bursa, as well.

Mr. Burkay said that Bursa Construction Fair Housing Projects was held in April and Home & Style Fair will be held during “Bursa Design and Innovation Meetings” in May including the design summit, live performances, trend spaces, exhibition of the young designers, bio design exhibition and innovation tunnel. Mr. Burkay added that in addition to the Home & Style Fair, 12 trade fairs in different sectors are planned to be organized in 3 years.   

Mr. Burkay declared that Bursa should be the biggest trade fair center of Turkey in 2020 and that the Commercial Safari Project, one of the 16 Macro Projects of the BTSO, enables its members to meet with important national and international buyer delegations. Mr. Burkay added that 2.100 people from more than 60 countries participated in the furniture, agriculture and machinery fairs held in Bursa in 2014 which led to the exports of the SMEs.

Mr. Bülent İnal, Chairman of Board of Directors of TÜYAP, said that TÜYAP has been co-operating with the BTSO for more than 12 years which is important in terms of organizing new fairs in Bursa.
