126th Anniversary of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) is celebrating its 126th anniversary. Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of the BTSO, Mr. Remzi Topuk, President of the Assembly of the BTSO, Members of the Board and Members of the Assembly laid a wreath at the Atatürk Monument on the occasion of the anniversary of the foundation of the Chamber. The BTSO delegation paid a visit to the grave of Mr. Osman Fevzi Efendi, the Founding President of the BTSO, as well.
Mr. İbrahim Burkay said that the BTSO, founded at the Cocoon Inn in Bursa on 6th June 1889 during the time of wars when the industrial revolution was neglected, is a proof of the vision that Mr. Osman Fevzi Efendi and his colleagues had to foster the private enterprises. He said “I remember Mr. Osman Fevzi Efendi and his colleagues and all the other ancestors of the BTSO with respect. The BTSO, together with its 35.000 members, has the privilege to be the biggest chamber of commerce and industry of Turkey and will continue to work to enable Bursa to be a leader of our national development targets with a new vision and macro projects.”
Mr. Remzi Topuk said that they are doing their best to represent and preserve the heritage of Mr. Osman Fevzi Efendi and his colleagues. He said “BTSO will continue to be a leader for the big targets of Turkey and I would like to express my gratitude to all the presidents, members of the Assembly and colleagues who have contributed to our Chamber.”
