Bursa companies visited 44 fairs, travelled around the world 7 times
Within the Global Fair Agency Project of the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), which is a role model for the chambers and commodity exchanges in Turkey, almost 2.000 companies visited 44 trade fairs in 1,5 years and travelled 275 thousand kilometers. Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of the BTSO, declared that they target to organize missions for 3 fairs in September and October by hiring private aircrafts with the aim to enable the SMEs of Bursa to become more effective players in the international arena.
The Global Fair Agency Project continues with new fair organizations. The companies in Bursa can follow the latest trends in the world with the supports of the BTSO and KOSGEB and thus, have the opportunity to become global brands.
The BTSO, that develops projects to open new horizons for and to increase the export capacity of the Bursa companies, enabled them to travel around the world 7 times with its fair organizations.
The members of the BTSO visited trade fairs in more than 10 countries from China to the USA, from Germany to the UAE in the last 1,5 years. The business people of Bursa visited 23 fairs in 2014 and 21 fairs in the first 6 months of 2015 within the Global Fair Agency Project. The BTSO will continue to organize fair visits in 2015, as well. The interested companies can visit kfa.btso.org.tr and apply online.
Mr. Burkay stated that the Global Fair Agency Project brings dynamism to the economy of the city. He said that the business community of Bursa meets the leading companies in the world and the target is to open new horizons for the SMEs of Bursa and to increase the export and manufacturing capacities. He added that the Global Fair Agency Project enables many companies in Bursa to have experience abroad and to have new business ties.
President Burkay said that organizations for 3 fairs in September and October by hiring private aircrafts are continuing. Missions will be organized for Texworld between 13th – 17th September and Premiere Vision between 14th – 17th September in France and EMO between 5th – 8th October in Italy.
