High-Tech Organized Industrial Zone will Shape 100 Years of Bursa

Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of BTSO, said that High-Tech Organized Industrial Zone has a crucial importance in terms of the future targets of Bursa and that the transformation in the industry should be realized in order for Bursa to be a leader in exports, employment and value-added manufacturing. 

Mr. Burkay said that Baden Württemberg of Germany is a good example which is home to more than 70 universities and receives an investment of 15 billion Euros on research & development solely from the public bodies. He added that the region is a leading center in the world creating wealth.

Mr. Burkay said “Bursa, with its know-how, qualified human resources and ability to develop complex products, will be at the center of the projects that Turkey will implement in the next 10 years. Due to the success that we have gained so far in the automotive, machinery, metal and textile sectors, we should realize the transformation to the space, aviation, defense, rail systems, technical textile, composite materials and nanotechnology.”  

Mr. Burkay highlighted that High-Tech Organized Industrial Zone having the logistics infrastructure, excellence centers and technology transfer office will increase the per capita income and the consumption expenditures in the city. He added that High-Tech Organized Industrial Zone will also contribute to the development of the industrial-based tourism.

Mr. Burkay said that satellite towns will be established in order to prevent a population growth and that industrial plants already established on the agricultural lands will be located on the planned Organized Industrial Zone.

Mr. Aydın Yakupoğlu, Member of the Assembly of BTSO, said that High-Tech Organized Industrial Zone is of great importance for the future of Bursa. 

Mr. Hüseyin Durmaz, President of the Board of Directors of the Bursa Organized Industrial Zone and Member of the Assembly of BTSO, said that occupancy rate in the first organized industrial zone of Turkey is 98% and that the High-Tech Organized Industrial Zone is crucial in terms of attracting new investments.

Mr. Baran Çelik, Member of the Assembly of BTSO, said that Bursa will again realize something new and new employment opportunities should be created for the young generation of the country.
