Home & Style Fair opened its doors

“Home & Style Fair” organized in co-operation with the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) and TÜYAP Bursa opened its doors where all types of designs from home textiles to furniture will be exhibited. The fair which is the first of its kind in Turkey will be home to all types of designs including home textile products, furniture, illumination materials, glassware, sanitary ware, and garden and bathroom equipment. 

Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of the BTSO, said that the fair is unique in Turkey and is open to consumers. He said “We will be a trendsetter in the field of “home”. This organization enables us to prove that our city is strong not only in industry and exports, but also in fashion and design. The fair will also contribute significantly to the economy. We will be creating a trade volume of 2 billion dollars in the retail sector next year.”

Mr. Burkay also said that the fair will be a platform for the architects to meet with the consumers which will enable the visitors to re-design their living spaces. He added that the Home & Style Fair could become a modern, innovative and style-oriented fair.

Mr. Burkay declared that Bursa will become a center of fairs and the Home & Style Fair is the first stop of this long journey. He added that the share of Turkish home textile in the world market is 5 % with an annual export amount of 3 billion dollars and the average export amount of Turkey per kg. is 1,68 dollars whereas this figure in the home textile sector is above 11 dollars.  

Mr. Burkay said “the national fairs held in Bursa will become one of the top 3 in Turkey and the international fairs held in Bursa will become one of the top 3 in the world. The Home & Style Fair which will contribute to the South Marmara Region is being organized for this purpose. The Home & Style Fair will become a trendsetter in the field of interior decoration and design within 3 years.”

Mr. Münir Karaloğlu, Governor of Bursa, said “Bursa is making a breakthrough in the field of trade fairs under the leadership of the BTSO. Bursa is progressing to become a trademark in design and innovation.” 

Mr. İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of TÜYAP Bursa Fuarcılık A.Ş., said that the strategic co-operation between the BTSO and TÜYAP enables trade fairs to be organized in Bursa and that the Home & Style Fair is the second project of this co-operation. He added that the Home & Style Fair is expected to attract almost 50 thousand visitors where 75 companies and almost 100 brands will be exhibited.
