BTSO Signed a Cooperation Protocol with Halkbank

Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) signed a protocol with Halkbank to provide its 35.000 member companies with advantageous finance support.

The protocol was signed between Mr. İbrahim Burkay, President of the Board of Directors of BTSO, and Mr. Ali Fuat Taşkesenlioğlu, General Manager of Halkbank. Mr. Burkay said that BTSO is the ‘first’ chamber to enable their members to use their resources.

President Burkay underlined that they have been signing protocols with Halkbank since 2006 and said that a fund of 276 million TL has been allocated for almost 6.000 members so far. President Burkay said that access to finance for the companies during the period of a recession in the global economy is important and added that in 2014, 356 members benefitted from the credit offered with a monthly interest rate of 0,85 % with the highest limit of 100.000 TL.

Mr. Taşkesenlioğlu said that as Halkbank, they support all manufacturers for their activities that add value to Turkey and will continue to be the biggest supporter of the SMEs in the future, as well. He added that they are pleased to co-operate with the BTSO, one of the oldest chambers of Turkey, which is a valuable business partner together with its member companies.

As per the protocol Halkbank will enable the members of the BTSO to use credits with the option up to 12 months. The companies defined as Industry-SME will have the opportunity to benefit from the 5% Bank and Insurance Turn-over Tax exemption that is applied only at Halkbank.
