Difference of BTSO in International Competition

Bursa, under the leadership of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) has a riveting role in Turkey’s export and rising to a more powerful position day by day. As part of the Development of International Competitiveness (UR-GE) program under the Ministry of Economy, BTSO presented 36 million dollars source to their members with total of 8 projects after the application in the field of composite has been approved.

Bursa which is the pioneer city of Turkey’s economy is leading high-added value turnover move with the leadership of BTSO as well as providing its members to get competitiveness in international arena with UR-GE projects. Mr. İbrahim Burkay; President of the Board of Directors of BTSO said that they put on great effort for companies to have more say in global marketplace and added that they deeply care for the support being provided to the business world should be used effectively and remuneratively in intense competitive environment.

 

COMPOSITE UR-GE PROJECT HAS ALSO BEEN APPROVED

Mr. Burkay said that they aim to take Bursa’s business world further in worldwide competition with UR-GE projects.  Subsequent to; Aerospace and Defense, Railways Systems, Baby and Children Clothing, Machinery, Chemistry, Food and Textile, lastly application of UR-GE project in the field of composite has been approved.  “With 8 UR-GE projects in total, BTSO holds the most accomplished UR-GE projects title in Turkey. Mr. Burkay stated that as BTSO, they are very close to achieving 10      UR-GE projects and with each project they finalize, 4.5 million worth of support from Ministry of Economy is being provided to the members.”

 

36 MILLION DOLLARS SUPPORT

Mr. Burkay stated that, through the project, needs analysis is being performed for the companies as part of UR-GE. “We provide education, counseling and organizations for fairs in abroad to our members. Our companies are able to follow up innovations around the world along with seeking new trading connections.”

 

COMPOSITE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE TO BURSA

Mr. Burkay said that, composite is commonly used in many strategic sectors particularly in space technology, navigation, medical, robotics, construction, chemistry, automotive and defense industry, it is also preferred because it is durable, long-lasting and light weighted. Mr. Burkay also highlighted that Bursa has a pioneering role in Turkey for automotive, machinery and textile sectors and they aim to become an expert on composite field too and soon the “Advanced Composite Research and Excellence Center” will be opened under the leadership of BTSO and cooperation with Uludağ University in Bursa. “As BTSO, with the financial support provided by Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency (BEBKA) Advanced Composite Research and Excellence Center that will be established at the new ‘Textile and Technical Textile Excellence Center’ building in Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone (DOSAB) will enable companies from Bursa to move towards composite sector.”
