President Erdoğan expressed great pleasure in being together with representatives of the business world, thanking BTSO President İbrahim Burkay and the board of directors for bringing people together on the occasion of the program. President Erdoğan, congratulating each company that received awards in four different categories and thanking them for their contributions to the country, the nation, and the economy, wished the 12 billion lira of total public and 30 billion lira of private sector investments, announced at the official openings, to be auspicious for the city. President Erdoğan congratulated the ministries, the private sector, municipalities, and all institutions that brought these works to the city.

"We Supported Every Project That Would Increase Bursa's Brand Value"

President Erdoğan, reminding that they have presented the production facility of Turkey's car TOGG to the service of Bursa and Turkey, said, "We have supported every project that will increase the brand value of Bursa, the locomotive city of Turkish industry, and activate its economic potential. As long as our Lord grants health and life and our nation gives authority, we will continue to serve Bursa and the people of Bursa."

"We Supported Every Project That Would Increase Bursa's Brand Value"

Stating that Bursa ranks among the leading cities of Turkey with its ancient history, culture, dazzling architectural works, and natural beauties, President Erdoğan said that they see serving Bursa as a necessity of taking care of the trust of their ancestors, in addition to paying the debt of gratitude to the nation. President Erdoğan explained that they frequently visit Bursa, have conversations with the citizens, meet with the business world and non-governmental organizations, listen to their demands, and solve their problems if any. President Erdoğan said, "With the meetings we have with our youth, women, farmers, workers, and other segments of our society, we strengthen our emotional connection with our people. For this purpose, we visited Bursa three times in just the last year. With each of our visits to Bursa, we opened many historical investments for our city and our country."

"Turkey Has a Deep Rooted Past That Cannot Be Confined to a Historical Century"

President Erdoğan, expressing that they will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic this year, said, "We encounter a similar situation no matter which institution we look at. However, the place where the expression 'the future rooted in the past' is embodied is undoubtedly our Bursa. Our Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with its 134 years of rooted history, is the memory of the city. In this historical process of nearly 1.5 centuries, our chamber has witnessed all the troubles, difficulties, economic and political upheavals that the nation has experienced. As the business world of Bursa, you have personally witnessed and experienced the economic momentum and comprehensive development move achieved in the last 20 years, along with all these crises that have imposed heavy costs on you and our nation. In the management of a powerful political will, you have experienced closely what Turkey is capable of, what the Turkish economy can achieve. In the light of these experiences, we can now all realize the following truth: the establishment of political stability is indispensable for economic growth. In an environment where uncertainty prevails, neither the economy nor democracy develops."

"We Wrote Success Stories"

BTSO Chairman İbrahim Burkay said that since they took office in 2013 with the vision of "If Bursa Grows, Turkey Grows," they have written success stories as a single body to reach a stronger future for the city and the country. Burkay, stating that in the year 2021, where the negative effects of the pandemic and international crises were felt most intensely, Turkey, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, achieved nearly two times the average growth rate of the world, said, "In 2022, we achieved a high performance of 6.2 percent. We reached a record level of $254 billion in exports. For the first time, our share from global trade exceeded 1 percent. The support you provided to our business world and the strategic steps you took in foreign policy have brought great gains to our country. Today, with the awareness of its potential, Turkey is an ambitious country that is in a great breakthrough in every field. This high self-confidence, which is a great gain for every individual of our country, brings with it an approach that not only struggles with crises but also manages them and turns them into opportunities. The economic policies pursued by our state in cooperation with our business world and the efforts of our entrepreneurs have broken high inflation and eliminated the problem of the current account deficit, becoming a common ideal for all of us."

"We Can Develop Bursa with New Generation Industrial Areas"

President Burkay said that, despite the periods of slowdown due to conjunctural reasons, the belief in the future of these lands will never be shaken, within the 10,800 square kilometers of Bursa, with only 0.8 percent share, the industry provides 46 percent high-value-added to the city economy. Burkay emphasized that innovative production, qualified employment, and value-added exports will continue to be their top priorities. President Burkay said, "It is our local capabilities that will continue to transform Bursa's historical and cultural heritage and natural riches into value and carry it to the future. Our Bursa is a city that has raised the share of medium-high and advanced technology in industrial production to 56
