BTSO continues to be a model with its projects

The Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), the center of model projects in Turkey, continues to be a role model for the other chambers and commodity exchanges. The Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce (KOTO) will determine its road map in the sectors of food and service in co-operation with the BTSO.

Mr. Yaşar Can, Mr. Uğur Demir, Mr. Mehmet Yıldırım and Mr. Yusuf Erenkaya, members of the Assembly of the KOTO, met with Mr. Aytuğ Onur, Member of the Board of Directors of the BTSO, Mr. Burhan Sayılgan, Member of the Assembly of the BTSO, Mr. İskender İskenderoğlu, Vice Chairman of the 38th Professional Committee of the BTSO, and Mr. Şaban Gege, Member of the Committee.

Mr. Onur said that the BTSO organized the 3rd Bursa International Food Congress last September in co-operation with the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock and the Uludağ University after 19 years. He added that the congress hosted experts and highlighted issues such as advanced food technologies, innovation, global vision of the Turkish food industry and genetically modified foods.

Mr. Onur said that the project of “Consumption of Secure Food and Prevention of Waste” was carried out in 100 schools with the participation of 12 thousand students. He added that the BTSO is willing to expand the projects nationwide and thus, is ready to co-operate with the Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce.

The members of the Assembly of the KOTO declared that they would like to find solutions to the problems of the sector in co-operation with the BTSO.
