Payitaht Bazaar Project
Aiming to strengthen the shopping tradition in Bursa’s Historic Bazaar and Hanlar District—located in the heart of the city and historically one of the most important stops of trade—BTSO seeks to transform the city into a globally recognized shopping destination. Within this scope, the Payitaht Bazaar Project has helped restore the historic bazaars, which contribute not only to the city’s commercial life but also to its social vitality and cultural richness, to their rightful value.
In order to revitalize regional trade, Shopping Days have been organized under the leadership of our Chamber since 2016. During the Shopping Days, customers who make purchases above a specified amount from participating shops in the bazaar are given the chance to win prizes, including cars and various gifts, through a lottery draw.
Through renovation efforts carried out by BTSO with the support of local authorities, the region has once again become a center of attraction. Our Chamber has also established consumer advisory offices, while training programs under BTSO Academy have provided businesses with opportunities for development in various areas. Comprehensive efforts are also being conducted to ensure that BTSO members in the Historic Bazaar take a more active role in the e-commerce ecosystem. In this context, the Payitaht Bazaar Digital Transformation Center has been established.
